Jena/Hanover, 12 October 2007 – Analytik Jena and its subsidiaries AJ Innuscreen, AJ Cybertron and AJ Roboscreen unveiled at Europe's largest trade fair for biotechnology, which took place from 9 to 11 October 2007, a total of four new device systems for applications in research, diagnostics and industry.

With SatelliteSC and AlphaSC, the group presented two new and extremely quick thermocyclers for polymerase chain reaction (PCR). This technology was developed by Analytik Jena in collaboration with the Leibniz Institut Jena. Likewise, a new product, the SNPtower, combines the advantages of ultraquick amplification of DNA and a subsequent end point detection using fluorescence signals. Also unveiled for the first time with ScanDrop was a new spectralphotometer, which can be used for analysis of tiny sample sizes right down to the level of microlitres. Other products for sample processing such as SpeedMill and InnuPure represent intelligent products with which to round off the portfolio of the bio solutions Business Unit.
The expanded range of the company's own biochemical reagent kits for nucleic acid purification, protein analysis and molecular diagnostics specially adapted to the device systems manufactured by Analytik Jena and the complex automation solutions attracted a good deal of interest at Biotechnica. In addition, the group unveiled five new CE-certified reagent kits for biomolecular diagnostics.
