Jena, 09/06/07 - Analytik Jena AG, a Prime Standard-listed specialist for analytical measuring systems, biochemical total solutions and laboratory projects, announces changes to its Supervisory Board. Dr. Franz-Ferdinand von Falkenhausen was appointed by the district court as the successor to Dr. Nikolaus Reinhuber by resolution of August 27, 2007.
Dr. Reinhuber resigned in writing from his post on the Supervisory Board of Analytik Jena AG for personal reasons on June 30, 2007. The Executive Board of Analytik Jena applied to the responsible district court to appoint Dr. Franz-Ferdinand von Falkenhausen as a new member of the Supervisory Board for the period up to the next Annual General Meeting.
Dr. von Falkenhausen has extensive experience in the
optical industry and, as a result of his many years as Managing
Director of Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH, he is the perfect addition to the
existing Supervisory Board of Analytik Jena AG. During this time as
Managing Director, one of the activities in which he was involved
was the acquisition of two Zeiss business units by Analytik Jena
AG.
Personal information: after studying mechanical engineering and
being awarded a doctorate at RWTH Aachen University, in 1979 von
Falkenhausen took up the post of head of production at Carl Zeiss
in Oberkochen. In 1987, he took over as head of the Carl Zeiss
plant in Göttingen, the light microscopy production facility.
In 1991, he became head of the Microscopy business unit. Since
April 1, 1994, he has been a member of the management of Carl Zeiss
Jena GmbH, and its spokesperson since 1996. The following year, he
assumed responsibility for the Optical Electronic Systems business
unit. In March 2007, Dr. von Falkenhausen retired from the Zeiss
Group. Von Falkenhausen currently promotes the Thuringian economy
as president of the East Thuringian Chamber of Trade and
Commerce.
The Supervisory Board and the Executive Board wish to thank Dr. Reinhuber for his many years of service.
