Jena, March 21, 2007 - To mark the Annual General
Meeting of Analytik Jena AG (ISIN DE0005213508), which is taking
place today, the Executive Board has issued a statement on the
targets for the current financial year.
The company expects Group sales to increase by approx. 12 % to EUR
75 million in the coming year. As regards earnings, the company
forecasts that it will be able to maintain the positive trend
exhibited in the last quarters and expects EBIT to rise by approx.
25 % to EUR 3.5 million. The outlook takes the start-up costs for
the Japanese sales company founded last year, AJ Japan, into
consideration. Group sales of approx. EUR 34 million (previous
year: EUR 32 million) are predicted for the first six months (up to
31 March 2007). The operating result (EBIT) will increase to
approx. EUR 1.9 million (previous year: EUR 1.7 million) after the
first six months.
The definitive results for the first six months will be disclosed by the company on May 15,
