Compact and clearly structured
Is the key note in our project specification defining services for reconstruction and general redevelopment of “SRH Wald-Klinikum“ near Gera. The clinical complex, which is distributed onto 50 buildings at the moment, will be concentrated in a single new building in an effort to guarantee optimal and efficient conditions for patient care. The project included work to harmonically integrate both a surgical centre that was completed only just in 2004 and heritage-protected building sections into the new constructional layout.
Under this project AJZ Engineering performs medical and laboratory planning for approximately 37,000 m² of useful area.
Since the topping-out ceremony on January 8, 2008, construction stage 1 for interior work has made significant progress.
On-site deliveries and installation of medical equipment are in full swing. This includes, among other things, the entire scope of X-ray diagnostic outfits with CT, apparatus for angiography, fluoroscopy, left cardiac catheter test station, as well as urological and conventional X-ray.
Relocation to the new building will go ahead this year. The building will house such wards as intensive care, intermediate care and the first ten general care wards with a total bed capacity of 400.
